New EQ owner? Here's everything you need to know to get your first session right — from unboxing to your first dab.
Step 1: Attach Your Mouthpiece
The EQ ships ready to accept any of its mouthpiece options — zirconia, glass, or silicone. Line it up with the mounting point and press until it seats fully; there's no twisting or tools required.
Step 2: Load the Crucible
Your EQ comes with a quartz crucible installed by default. Load a small amount of concentrate directly into the well — less is more on your first few sessions until you learn how the heat distributes. If you'd rather use the included loading tool or the EQ Stainless Steel Loading Tool, now's the time.
Step 3: Set Your Temperature
Use the on-device touchscreen to select a starting temperature. Thinner, more volatile concentrates vaporize well at lower settings; thicker, more viscous ones typically need more heat. Start conservative and adjust session to session as you learn your preference.
Step 4: Add Water (Optional)
If you're using the Jacuzzi Bubbler or Skyrise Bubbler attachment, fill to the fill line before you begin — water cooling smooths out the draw considerably compared to running the EQ dry.
Step 5: Clean As You Go
The quartz crucible wipes clean between sessions with isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab. If buildup becomes an issue over time, DaVinci also offers a Zirconia Crucible as a swap-in alternative — it holds heat differently and some users find it easier to keep clean long-term.
Ready to Upgrade Your Setup?
Once you've got the basics down, the EQ's modular design means you can start customizing — a different mouthpiece material, a spare crucible, or a carb cap injector for finer airflow control. Browse the full lineup below.
